Yesterday we took the girls halfway to Dallas to meet my Aunt Sissy who lives up there. She gets them for almost a week every summer to spend some one on one time with them and this was the week. (She had this same tradition with me and my sisters when we were growing up so now she's carrying on the tradition with our kids!) They were soo excited to get to see Aunt Sissy especially because she always has the week jam packed with fun stuff to do while they are there!!
They're plans are to go to the Aquarium, watch Wall-E at the theater, swimming at a friends pool, making necklaces, painting fingernails and toenails, coloring, doing puzzles (she's a teacher...haha), watching the Sound of Music (a tradition every year....even when we went to see her every summer!), renting movies, & meeting new friends. When I talked to them on the phone they said they want to stay at her house till Christmas!!!! haha! We'll see if they're still saying that by Thursday when we meet back up again for them to come home!! =o)

Courtney is flying out to NC tomorrow for his brother Keller's Green Beret graduation. So I have 3 days with just me & Gabe and I'm not quite sure what we're gonna do. Tomorrow, after we drop Courtney off at the airport, I think I'm gonna go do some shopping! I haven't gotten to go shopping just for me in a lonnngg time! As for the other 2 days, I may spend some time setting up my craft stuff in the garage and getting the garage organized so we can use it.
Also, tonight I am weaning Gabe from waking up in the middle of the night.....he's not been sleeping through the night for a while now with cutting teeth and us moving......and so this is the week to get him to sleeping in his bed and all night and getting him on a routine too! I'm tired of feeling zombie-fied cause this kid is still getting up several times a night when he is well old enough to be sleeping 12 hours! He cried for about 15-20 mins putting him in his bed tonight but now he's out. I'm just praying this will be an easy transition. We'll see if he wakes up wanting a bottle at 2am!!!!!!

Have a fun week by yourself! Sounds heavenly. And good luck with Gabe. Moving is so hard on the little guys, isn't it! Hope he starts sleeping better soon.
How fun for the girls! I remember staying with her for a few days a while ago!
I hope you are able to get Gabe sleeping through the night again. Josh has been teething recently so I'm right there with you! :)
You lucky woman...time by yourself! I can't believe Gabe is so old! I know I say that every time I write you. Can't believe I am going to be doing that again this next year...
