Interesting Times......

We got home Thursday night and luckily before I left Austin I stocked up on groceries to bring back with us because I didn't know what our grocery stores would be like around here. My sister & her girls came down yesterday to stay with us for a few days cause they still don't have power at their house. So my sister and I ran out to WalMart to get a few items and it was an eery, scary site to see the WM shelves practically bare!! I have never seen anything like it. It made me realize this is why we are counseled to be self-reliant and to be prepared for times like these. Lucky for us we only needed a couple of things and didn't have a huge grocery list!!

Here are some pics I had to take from that experience.
Hardly any 'food' to pick from in the freezer section.....

But by golly they have plenty of Blue Bell Ice Cream!!!
Only in TEXAS!!

Our church building still doesn't have power so we had to have our Sacrament meeting outside today. Made me think about the pioneers and how they did this all the time?!!
It was a neat experience! Hot but neat. This is the only time I'll probably not complain we meet at 9am!! hahaha

That is crazy. How did your kids like sacrament outside?
