Very Humbling.....

Our YW class did a service project on Wed night for a devastated neighboring town thats not too far from here. We took them there and let them hand out cookies, doughnuts and cold bottled water to these sweet folks who have just about lost everything and are cleaning up now.

It was a very humbling experience for me to see that they were having to through ALL their household goods out to the curb that was damage by flooding to be picked up and hauled off. It made me realize how close that could have been us.

That is so sad.

wow... you can never imagine the impact something like that will have on you until you experience it. What an empty and awful feeling to have everything you own destroyed. What a great experience for your young women to have serving those people. Wow. I love the "LOOT I SHOOT" guy... that would be Russ :)

Count your blessings for sure. So glad your family and your home made it through safe and sound.
