Vegas Baby!!

The time finally arrived......
the trip that had been in the works for months.....
a GIRLS GETAWAY!!!
(anybody knows me...knows that I am ALWAYS game for GNO!)

I met up with 2 of my FL friends,
Mandy & Melissa,
to hang out in Las Vegas and it was so much fun!!
We also had this bright idea to run a half marathon while we were there.....
oh wait....it was MY bright idea....ooopppsss!!!
more on that adventure later!

here are a TON of pictures from our trip.....
I flew out there Wed night and Melissa,
who now lives in CA, flew in that night as well.
We both got in around 10:30pm, got the rental car,
and headed out to find some place to eat...
even though it was 12:30am TX time!!!
Of course...where else do you eat that late at night but.....Denny's!
Then we got checked into our resort and crashed!

The next morning, Thursday, Mandy flew in and after making several loops around the airport to find the passenger pickup.....we finally found her!!

We hit the Strip and here are the pictures of our adventures.......

I believe we ended up in Sephora like 4 times that weekend.....

my brother-in-law Torry...aka Courtney's brother
flew out to Vegas for the day for some business so we met up with him to take pics at his favorite Vegas hangout spot....ESPN Zone.

On Friday we decided to start our day off at the resort hanging out at the Lazy River and hot tub cause our feet were KILLING us from walking around the Strip all day on Thursday. So we hung out at the pool and chatted for a while that morning.

we didn't last long in the Lazy River cause that water was freezzzzing!!

It was so nice to just lay out in the warm sun though!

then we grabbed lunch at Chili's

and hit the Strip for a little while for some more shopping

it was SUPER windy!!

these shows are sooo cool at how they are set to the music!

these guys were funny/creepy.....they had the voices to go along with those costumes.... I only got this picture cause I thought of my nephew Ty who can quote The Dark Knight word for word!!

Saturday morning we headed out bright and early about 30 minutes out to the southwest side of Las Vegas to Lovell Canyon to the start line of our best adventure yet....hahaha...NOT!

the temp was about 40 but it was super windy making it wayyy colder than that!

btw, this hill was mile 8 uphill on the way back!!!

that was a pretty cool experience....
like an ice cream bar then you pay by the ounce.

our trip was coming to an end as we had to take Melissa to the airport that night....Mandy and I flew out Sunday morning.

After we dropped Melissa off at the airport, Mandy & I headed back down to the Strip to try and catch the Pirate show again....it had been cancelled the other night due to the wind conditions.
we made it there but it was wayyy too crowded for us to see it very well

Courtney had said this was a cool show.....
now I can tell why!!! hahaha

why didn't we think of that?!?!!!
the smartest people on the Strip!!!

we caught a couple more fountain shows......
they are just so cool and relaxing to watch.

my flight home.....

...like we were flying on a blanket of clouds...
pretty cool!
