July 4th Fun

We had a fun and relaxing Fourth of July.
Here are some pictures to share.

We signed up at the beginning of the year through the Boy Scouts to get this flag for 4 holidays throughout the year.
It really makes the neighborhood look really cool and patriotic with these flags waving in the wind.

Courtney & the girls started off the day at a church Primary Activity.

Courtney was asked to talk to the kids about why we live in a free country and how it ties into the Gospel.

All the Primary kids did a parade around the gym.

Devyn helped out with some of this Primary Activity which helped her sign off one of her last requirements in her 'Faith In God' book for Primary....it's a book & program that has girls ages 8-11 set goals to accomplish and also learn & develop qualities that helps them become righteous young women.

Taylor chillin' and readin'...
she said she was on 'chapter 4/5'.

Later this evening we decided to do a family service project.
Well, it was Courtney and I with Devyn, the little kids stayed at home with Grandma & Papaw. (thanks Grandma & Papaw!)
We went to mow & edge our awesome friends' yard while they were out of town.
Makes you feel good to serve others!!

Hope everyone had a FUN and SAFE Fourth of July!!!!
