Our little man is FINALLY here!!!!

Well after taking his sweet time, he finally arrived the night before his due date. Gabriel Manson Hinson was born Wed, Jan 2nd at 10:39pm. He weighed in at a whopping 10lb 8oz and was 19.5in long!! (and NO, that is not a typo!!!) He surprised us ALL with his size that's for sure!! I was expecting him to be a good 9lbs.....but he has proven me wrong almost the whole time I carried him!! He's a little stinker already!! =oD

The labor & delivery run down.......
After having contractions for (no kidding) 2 1/2 weeks and a false alarm on New Years Eve morning, my water finally broke at 5am on the 2nd. We went in, got all set up for delivery and waited alllll day. I had to be given Pitocin to try and speed things up a bit but it still took till 8:30pm for me to finally be dilated to 10cm. Luckily I got an Epidural but unfortunately this time it only worked mostly on my right side. My right leg was completely dead and numb. Around 5pm I started feeling the intense contractions more and more on the left side of my belly. I started pushing the button on the Epidural for extra shots of it and then it just started making me sick. So after getting sick 5 times, I finally gave up and decided to just breath thru the contractions. Then to top it all off, they came in at 8:30pm and said it was time to push, left out to get something, only to come back and tell me that I was gonna have to wait because all the docs had to go do an emergency c-section on twins. Wrong thing to say to me at this point!!!!! hahaha He said it wouldn't take too long so I was thinking it would take them about about 45 mins or so. NOPE, 2 hours later they FINALLY come in when I told them that I was pushing whether they were there or not. The contractions were now unbearable at this point. I got to start pushing about 10:15 and he was born at 10:39pm. My longest labor & delivery out of the three......almost 18 hours long.

The docs and the nurses couldn't get over how big he was either. The tech that cleaned him up and got him dressed told us that 'They deliver infants there not toddlers!!' hehe They had us all cracking up!

He is such a good and perfect little baby and we are so glad that he is finally here. It feels so weird having a newborn around again after almost 5 yrs but it is so cool to get to experience a boy this time around!
Here are some pictures to share. =o)

At the hospital
