We have been home from our TX Trip a week now and I am still NOT on top of my house and things around here. So sorry it has taken me forever to get this page updated.
We went to TX for Spring Break to ride in a Trail Ride with my parents that is an annual tradition every year now. The kids love it! We ride about 20 miles on Friday.

On Sat we ride 13 miles to this town called Woodville and then line up for a parade through the town. It was Western Weekend for the town's annual Dogwood Festival.

On Sunday we blessed our little Gabe in the Branch down the road from my parents house. Then we all went back to my parents for some good ole BBQ that my Daddy is famous for! It was soo good. The weather turned out kind of crappy with showers off and on but we just had to make do with what we had. We really enjoyed getting to see all of our extended family for the occasion.
For those who don't know yet, we are moving to Houston, Texas June 27th. Courtney got hired on with the Texas Guard standing up a TACP Unit there at Ellington Field in Houston. He will be in an active duty position so we get to keep our pay, benefits and all that good stuff and he can still retire at 20 years. The only difference is that once we move to Houston and are in the Guard, we never have to move again!!! Its sort of bitter-sweet for us not getting to see more cool places but we are very excited to get to settle back in TX so our kids can experience now having some roots.
So Monday of that week we were in TX, we drove to Houston and were there in Houston looking for neighborhoods and houses to live in and buy. Can I just say that house buying is one of the most stressful things I have done!! Its really stressful this time because the house we pick will be the house we live in for the next 10 years or more. Devyn will graduate there! So all these things we have to think about as we're picking out places there. We're still looking but I will keep you posted when we do finally find one.
We will be going back to Houston Memorial Day weekend in May for a couple weeks to seriously look some more. Wish us luck!!

oh good luck! I can't believe that almost all my friends from Florida are or have moved away! Ya'll, the Kings, Boyers, Bigalows, who else? Ahh, sad. I'm happy that you're getting to settle down in Texas. Russ joined the Oregon Guard because he's from up here and loves the northwest, but I miss Texas and Florida. I guess I'm just a southern girl. Good luck, Good luck! I wish you well!
Glad to see your new post. I know you've been busy since returning to Florida. Let us know know the house hunting is going.
