Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful mothers!! I had a great Mother's Day today! I got breakfast in bed by my wonderful husband....a tradition I LOVE! I also didn't have a thing I was responsible for at church today and I LOVED that! All I had to do was just show up to church and enjoy the meetings and that is a very rare occasion since I've been RS President (since Sept). It was nice and stress free. I even talked our Bishop into canceling our early morning meeting we have every Sunday morning. So it was nice to get to ride together to church as a family again. =o)
I am so grateful for Mother's Day.....the time we get to think about, appreciate, and thank our mother's (and all our other family member and friends who are mothers that are a great examples to us each and everyday). I am thankful for my Mama, for the unconditional love and generosity she has for her girls and our families. I am grateful for the things she has taught me and for raising me up in the restored Gospel. I love the relationship that we have and am grateful to be her daughter.
It also makes me reflect on how grateful I am to be a mother. I feel so blessed to have 4 sweet children to raise on this Earth. They are my life and I am grateful to have this opportunity to be a mom. My life, I know, would be dull without them. They bring us such joy, happiness, and even sometimes frustrations and craziness but I truly love every minute of it.
I hope you all have had a GREAT Mother's Day!! You deserve it!!
We had a Mother/Daughter Dinner to go to on Wed night for Devyn's Activity Days class at church. We had taco salad for dinner and then played the 'How Well Do You Know your Mother or Daughter'......pretty much like the Newlywed Game. The girls made their moms a seashell bracelet and a cute card. The moms wrote letters to their daughters to read to themselves.
It was a lot of fun!
Here are some pics from the night....

Devyn and her Primary Teacher Lea Gail (Sister Price)
Devyn's friend Chelsey who has come to church with us several times.
I was her 'mother' for the night. =o)
