my sweet Taylor.....

We were given a huge blessing/miracle out of a pretty scary incident that happen yesterday.........
the girls were eating popcorn for a snack outside yesterday afternoon and were up on the trampoline. Courtney was home and in the backyard putting something up when he heard Taylor coughing and turned around to see Taylor beet red in the face and with huge eyes standing at the edge of the trampoline......literally choking on a a piece of popcorn. I was in the kitchen at the time and didn't hear all the commotion until Jayde came in and casually said Taylor was choking.....I didn't think much of it.....that something had just gone down the wrong pipe...but walked outside to make sure and I find Courtney with Taylor on the ground doing the heimlich maneuver on her!! He said he turned around and saw she was seriously choking and yanked her off the trampoline while asking her if she could breath and she couldn't answer. He started the HM a couple of times and her face started turning purple and her knees buckled cause she wasn't getting any air......he said he was about to yell for me to call 911 when he tried it one more time and she coughed it up. I walked outside about that time and didn't realize the severity of the situation until after it was all over with. It got all over Courtney and just made him sick that it was that serious that he had to do that on his own little girl. (I am so grateful for the EMT training he has had!!!)

I hit my knees last night in gratitude to my Father in Heaven for the blessing that Courtney knew what he was doing, that he was home and outside when she needed him, and that it worked without having to call paramedics. As I think more and more about it.....I realize at how differently things could have been had it not worked and we had to call 911 & wait on EMT to get here.......I tremble to think that if it was the Lords will..... we could have lost our sweet Taylor yesterday. This has humbled me and made me take a step back from all my craziness and busyness......and just appreciate and love on each one of my kids a little more. I take it for granted way too much. I can't imagine my life without any of them here on this earth with me.

Omy gosh Carman. That is so scary. I'm so glad that Courtney was out there with her too. A similar thing happened the other day with Noah and it freaked us out.

Wow, Carman, that is really scarey. I am so glad that courtny knew what to do. I hope that you have CPR training too. That is something that I really believe that everyone should have. I am so scared of something ever happening to my little babies.

Thank God! I'm so glad that she is OK -- she must have been terrified and Courtney too. It's a blessing that he was able to keep his head and remember that fantastic training. Much love to you all!

Happy New Year guys!! xx

I'm glad your man has a cool head and was there the help your daughter. It's amazing what things you'll go thru as your raise up your kids - it's so worth it all! Treasure every minute. Nothing like a little dose of humility huh? - Claretta
